Fitness
Move for the life you want to live.
Fitness doesn't have to mean chasing a number on a scale. Movement can be about strength, mobility, energy, heart health, confidence and longevity.
Where Do I Start?
Start where you are.
Walking counts. Strength training counts. Dancing counts. Swimming counts. Cycling counts. The goal is finding movement that works for your body, lifestyle and ability.
Current CDC guidance recommends that most adults aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity each week plus muscle-strengthening activity on at least two days. Some activity is better than none.
Before You Hire a Trainer
Credentials matter. So does connection.
Questions to ask:
- What certifications or credentials do you hold?
- Have you worked with women with goals similar to mine?
- How will you modify exercises if something doesn't feel right?
- How do you track progress?
- What's included in your fee?
- What's your cancellation policy?
- Do I feel comfortable asking this person questions?
